The dual purpose of this web site is to share the identifying photographs of the wolverines that now occupy or have previously occupied a mountainous region of SW Montana and to demonstrate how these photographs were captured.

The included photographs represent a catalog of identifying markings for each of the 13 wolverines documented over the last 8 years in, approximately, the northern half of the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness of SW Montana

Our goal is to share our results with interested parties and to encourage others to use these simple techniques to identify wolverines in other areas. (Or other carnivores–almost all types come to our stations.).
